Carolyn J. Owens, age 63, of Mt. Vernon, KY, formerly of Lexington, KY, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Rockcastle County Regional Medical Center.
She was an author and spent the last several years of her life doing what she enjoyed, writing books.
She is survived by 2 Sons: Joshua T. Helton and Zachary R. Owens; 2 Sisters: Josephene (Jimmie D.) Stull and Dorotha Slone; 1 Brother: Dannie Owens; Brother-on-law- Henry Owens; Host of Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents- Bazle and Edna Owens; Sister- Helen L. Watson; Brother-in-law- Carl Slone; Sister-in-law- Lillie Owens
Funeral services for Carolyn Owens will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with United Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Bazle and Edna Owens Cemetery at Hindman, KY. Visitation will be held at the Chapel, Sunday evening after 5PM with additional services at 7PM.
